A long-term focus encourages discipline, helps avoid making knee-jerk decisions, and lowers costs due to reduced trading fees. We believe time in the market, not timing the market, is the best way to deliver strong long-term returns.
Maintaining existing wealth is just as important as future growth. A long-term strategy utilising diverse portfolios that aren’t overly exposed to a particular asset or currency is the best way to ride out market volatility.
While costs are not the most important thing in delivering strong long-term returns, they do have a direct impact on performance. We are constantly researching new ways to reduce, however any decision based on cost is always balanced against the long-term performance potential.
